Study Notes Gap Between Student and Teacher Use of Internet

Students report that there is a substantial disconnect between how they use the Internet for school and how they use the Internet during the school day and under teacher direction, according to a new study conducted by the Pew Internet and American Life Project. The study said that while many teenagers recognize the need to shelter teenagers from inappropriate content and adult-oriented commercial ads, they also complian that blocking filtering software often hinders their ability to access the Internet for legitimate educational purposes. The study can be reviewed at www.pewinternet.org/reports/toc.asp?Report=67.
